From giving the country its first daily soap - Shanti, its first game show - Saap Seedi, its first chat show - Chakravyuha, UTV has since then innovated year after year, creating television properties that became household names. CONTENT
We have journeyed across fiction and non-fiction and across genres like Kids, Drama, Comedy, Regional themes, Fantasies, Action, Horror, Mythological and more. In many ways, we continue to develop new concepts on Indian Television.
The TV Content division of UTV, has to its credit, the dance reality show which took the nation by storm - Dance India Dance (Season 1) on Zee TV, a youth reality show - Emotional Atyachaar on UTV Bindass, which gained immense popularity in its genre and other fiction and non-fiction shows like Rakhi Ka Insaaf (Imagine), Boogie Woogie (Sony) Rakt Sambandh (Imagine), Maa Exchange (Sony) the recently launched show in HD Dor: Mayke Se Bandhi (Star) to its credit spanning across all key channels in the country.
In the cluttered Southern television market UTV managed to create a presence in the fiction genre with Rakta Sambandham and Deala No Deala in the non - fiction genre. After captivating the audiences down south, UTV explored the Marathi space launching three successful Marathi shows - Anamika Prajakta, and Maaylek
AIRTIME SALES
UTV operation in the South focus on the selling of airtime on the Sun Network. UTV's marketing division deals with diverse genres of programmes including live sports, daily soaps (Thirumati Selvam, Annu Pallavi, Nadasawaram, Vinayagar Thiruvilayadal, Madhavi on Sun TV; Rakthsambandham on Gemini TV; Rathasapthami and Prerana on Udaya TV) game shows Deala No Deala across all 4 language in south, children's programmes (Ghee Bhoom Bha, Spell Champ), news and current affairs programmes, feature films, etc. With a base of about 100 regular clients, UTV has cumulative experience of more than 11,000 hours of airtime sales on various channels.
DUBBING
UTV currently has six exclusive in-house sound studios and state-of-the-art dubbing equipment. With a presence in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai,UTV, have dubbed more than 8,000 hours of content into various regional languages for television serials, documentaries and films including animation Films. UTV has the wherewithal to dub in Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Further, besides dubbing from English to Hindi, also working on projects, wherein which dub from international languages like Japanese, Chinese, German, French and other European/Asian languages to Hindi. In past few years we have catered to clients like Discovery, Doordarshan, Hallmark, Hungama TV, Nickelodeon, National Geographic Channel, Star TV, NDTV Good Times, The History Channel, Turner International, Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bros, Walt Disney amongst others. UTV has also dubbed key Hollywood projects like Titanic, Star Wars Trilogy, X Men, Face Off and Independence in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
